Full Description

A redeposited sherd of early Roman pottery was recovered in November 2018, during archaeological monitoring of the construction of a temporary access track on land to the west of Biscathorpe. The sherd was abraded and difficult to identify with certainty, but appeared to be in a transitional gritty ware type fabric, likely dating to the later 1st to 2nd century. {1}{2}
