Full Description

Former pest house, thought to have been built in the late 16th century. The structure was largely rebuilt between 1789 and 1790, and was extended and converted to use as a private residence in about 1880. It is of two-storeys, laid out in a L-shaped plan. The building is mostly constructed of painted red brick, although retains some of the earlier 16th century fabric of coursed rubble stone. The pitched roofs have a natural slate roof covering, thought to date from the 1880 alterations.
