Full Description
Probable 20th century, single storey barn at Sea View Farm. It is timber framed, with corrugated metal sheeting for the walls and roof, and is open-fronted on its south-western side. The barn was inspected in September 2019, during a site visit by staff of Lincolnshire County Council, Natural England and Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. Many unusual and very substantial timber posts were found to have been used in its construction. It was thought likely that many of these posts had been salvaged from nearby historic sea defences, given their enormous width and the fact that they were square sectioned not round, which is not a common Lincolnshire barn construction practice. {1}
