Full Description

A Miles Master Mk II trainer aircraft crashed on land to the north-west of Northorpe, on the 9th of August 1943. The aircraft was designated DL851, and was flying on a solo exercise for pilot familiarization. The aircraft was seen over Northorpe with flames coming from the engine before it lost control and dived to the ground, killing the pilot. {1}{2}{3}
