Full Description
Earthwork remains of medieval ridge and furrow, to the north-east of Ludborough. Identified on aerial photographs examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
An additional area of ridge and furrow, located in the field to the immediate east of the previously identified remains, was recorded in January 1992, during the creation of the Ludborough bypass road. The furrows in this field were aligned on a south-west to north-east axis, with the ridges spaced roughly 7m apart. {2}
Further earthwork remains of medieval ridge and furrow, covering a larger area than those previously identified, can be discerned on the Google Maps aerial photographic layer. {3}
