Full Description

Outbuilding behind 19 East Street, which likely dates to the mid 19th century based on mapping evidence. The building was recorded during site visits in 2018, which took place as the building was being restored and converted into a car port and secure storage area. It is a single storey building, constructed out of coursed limestone, with a pitched, timber framed roof covered in red clay pantiles. The eastern elevation has a set of double wooden doors to the north, and is open near the centre of the elevation. There is a hayrack on the exterior wall near the south end of the elevation. The western elevation has no openings, and was in poor condition at the time of recording, having partially collapsed. An extension had been built off the northern elevation, but this was no longer structurally sound and was demolished as part of the conversion. The exposed northern elevation has a single goods door. {1}{2}
