Full Description

An undated human burial was exposed in June 2009, during trial trenching on land to the south of Borderville Farm. The remains were articulated, and thought to be possibly crouched. The remains were only partially excavated, as the burial extended into the section, and the rest of the burial was left in situ. The excavated remains consisted of a partial cranium and mandible, three fragmentary cervical vertebrae, a medial hand phalanx, and a metatarsal. The fragmentary remains were assessed, but the sex could not be determined, and could only be categorised as a probable adult. {1}{2}
