Full Description

Former threshing barn, dating to the late 18th century, located on the north side of the Newton Grange farm complex. It is a 2 storey building, built out of brick with evidence of numerous episodes of repair, rebuilding, or modification. It was recently re-roofed, and now has a timber framed roof, covered in plastic sheeting and pantiles. The barn has opposing openings on the north and south elevations, which is typical of threshing barns. The southern opening is partly blocked with brick, and has a smaller 2 section wooden door. The northern elevation also has 3 blocked window openings, and open ventilation slits. The interior is one large room. {1}
