Full Description
Shakespeare Street bus shelter, Gainsborough was installed in the mid-20th century after the Second World War. It is a rare example of surviving street furniture from this period. It is built out of timber and modern corregated sheet metal, and has a wooden bench that runs the length of the shelter. It is evidence for the improvement to public transportation after the war. {1}{2}
