A Second World War pillbox was recorded as being in this general area, at RAF Sutton Bridge. The structure appears to no longer be extant, but was recorded as being rectangular, measuring roughly 20-24ft long, and 5-6ft wide. Gun embrasures were about 18" above ground level, with three in each long side, and one at each end. Three of the four corners were constructed at an angle and contained an embrasure. The entrance was in the north-western corner of the structure. {1}{2}
