Full Description
A scatter of late Anglo-Saxon and medieval pottery of some 37 sherds was found in an evaluation trench excavated by the Viking Torksey Project to the south of Brampton parish. The most common medieval wares were thirteenth- to fourteenth-century pottery from Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. It is probably derived from manuring scatters. {1}{2}
