Full Description

A small assemblage of early medieval Stamford ware pottery was found in the 1960s, during digging in the garden of 59 Scotgate. The collection comprised a number of body and rim sherds from a variety of different vessels, and included a large, broken jug handle, and several decorated sherds. {1}
