Full Description
Remains of medieval ridge and furrow were identified in this location to the south-east of Langworth, on the Google Maps aerial photographic layer. The remains could be seen as a parallel series of south-west to north-east aligned linear earthworks. {1}
The south-west portion of the ridge and furrow remains were surveyed in May 2020, prior to proposed residential development on the land. Five north-east to south-west aligned furrows were identified and recorded. The furrows were spaced roughly 8-10m apart, and continued to the north-east, beyond the surveyed area. {2}{3}
