Full Description

Site of a former Church of England school in Conisholme. The school appears to have been closed in or shortly after 1942 due to consistently poor attendance, and was demolished in the second half of the 20th century. A modern detached house now occupies the site, and it is unclear if any of the old school building was incorporated into it. {1}{2} White’s 1854 Trade Directory states that the school was built in 1854. {3} The school is shown as a single range rectangular building of moderate size on the 1905 OS map. {4}
