Former school building. Single storey building of coursed stone blocks with buff brick quoins and window surrounds, under a pitched gabled roof of slate. Single ridge stack. One small brick lean-to outbuilding and one larger modern brick extension with hipped tile roof. {1} The school was built as Ludford National School in 1853 and enlarged in 1874. It was known as Ludford CE School by 1912. The school became a Controlled School in April 1949. The title of Ludford CE Primary School was in use by 1999. The school was closed due to poor attendance in August 2009, and has since been converted into a private residence. {2}{3}{4} The school building is shown in a T-shape plan form on the 1887 OS map of Ludford, with two small wings added by 1906.
