Full Description

School building. Originally built as Binbrook National School, now part of Binbrook C. of E. Primary School. L-shape plan form, one/one and a half storey buff brick building with cross-wing, under a pitched gabled roof of slate. The southeastern end has been extended in red brick. One lateral stack and one gable stack on the extended gable. {1} White’s 1856 states that the National School was built in 1842, and by 1856 it was attended by 80 pupils. {2} The building is shown in its current plan form on the 1887, 1906, and 1950 OS maps of Binbrook. The modern prefabricated classroom buildings to the north were added in the late 20th or early 21st centuries. {3}{4}{5}
