Full Description

A type 22 concrete pillbox is believed to have been sited in this area, defending the western approach to RAF Barkston Heath. {1}{2} No trace of the structure could be discerned in this area on the Google Maps satellite imagery layer. The airfield appears to have had recent modifications to its layout, however, and it is possible that the pillbox was removed as part of these alterations. {3}
