Full Description

The eastern range of outbuildings at White House Farm was included in a programme of historic building recording, conducted in January 2017 to inform their proposed conversion to housing. The building likely dates from the early to mid 19th century, although some more recent alterations have been conducted, including the partial demolition of the northern end of the structure. The whole range is single-storey and is built of brick, largely laid in an English Garden Wall bond, and features a pitched roof of red clay pantiles. The building is open to the west, with angled timber braces and posts used to support the opening, suggesting the structure had originally functioned as a former cart shed. {1}{2}
