The remains of a Pulhamite Grotto stands within the designed gardens of the former Eastcliff House at Lindum Terrace. The grotto was constructed in the 1870s, and comprised a range of garden features, all made with Pulhamite mortar, including a number of paths, several flights of steps and a bridge over a probable former pond. The bridge is no longer extant, although both its former abutments still stand, marking the position the bridge spanned. {1}
