Summary

An unlocated hoard of Iron Age coins, Langworth, in Barlings parish

Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

A poor record of a small quantity of north-eastern coinage, possibly originating as a hoard of perhaps five coins found inabour 2003. An uncertain grid reference is provided: TF0676. A gold stater seems rather out of place for a hoard but no further information about the discovery has been made. De Jersey assigned the date of deposition of this putative hoard as probably his phase 8, AD10 to AD 40. {1}
