Full Description

Hall Farm, Heckington. 19th century farmstead. Regular courtyard of U plan. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. The farmhouse is the only surviving historic structure. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {1} The farmhouse is a two storey building of yellow London stock brick with a slate roof, below which is a course of dog tooth corbelling. A datestone on the western elevation reads '1863 W.L'. These are probably the initials of William Little, a farmer listed in White’s 1872 Trade Directory of Lincolnshire (3rd Edition) as residing at Hall Farm. The building is now in a ruinous state. {2}{3}
