Full Description

A 19th century public house constructed of rendered brick with an L-shaped plan. The main range is two storeys high with single-storey extenstions to the side and rear. The pitched pantile cross gable roof has rendered chimney stacks to the rear. The first floor of the main range has mid-20th century mock half-timbering across both the front and side elevation. A campsite was added in the first half of the 20th century, coinciding with the increase of coastal tourism. {1} Around the same time an outbuilding was demolished, long and rectangular in plan, possibly obsolete stables. {2}
