Full Description

Site of Glebe Farm, Swallow. Demolished 19th century farmstead. Loose courtyard with four sides of the courtyard formed by working agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. Located within or in association with a village. {1} Remains of the former Glebe Farm were identified in September 2016, during an earthwork survey, conducted to inform proposed residential development on land off Caistor Road. The survey identified remnants and associated earthworks of the demolished buildings and former trackways, boundaries and mounds. The farmstead is known to have been demolished in the late 20th century, but is depicted as still extant on historical mapping of this area until at least 1976. {2}{3}
