A study of the history and development of Priory Farm was included in the programme of historic building recording, conducted in January 2016, prior to the proposed conversion to residential use of some of the former farm buildings. The farmstead is not depicted on the 1st edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map, produced in 1887, but does appear on the 2nd edition 25" Ordnance Survey County Series map, produced in 1907, suggesting it dates to around the turn of the 20th century. {2}{3}
