Full Description

A school is depicted in this area on the 1st edition 6" Ordnance Survey County Series map. It is present on historic mapping of this area dating to 1956, but no is no longer present on mapping of 1974, suggesting it was demolished in the mid 20th century. {1}{2} Documentation held by the Lincolnshire Archives suggests that the school opened in 1875. Although marked on the historic mapping of 1956, this documentation suggests that the school 'appears to have been closed in June 1922'. The exact date of the school's closure and subsequent demolition is therefore uncertain. {3}
