Former school building. One and a half storey T-plan form yellow brick building with white render on most elevations, under a roof of concrete tiles. Parapet gables with moulded concrete or stone shoulders. Dentil course at eaves height. One large lateral stack. Unusual double pitch gable on north elevation including school bell aperture, though the bell itself is no longer extant. {1} The building is present in its current plan form on both the 1887 and 1906 Ordnance Survey maps. {2}{3} White's 1856 Directory of Lincolnshire does not mention a school, but it does make reference to a schoolmaster, a William Hindley, in the parish. {4} An endowed school was founded in North Owersby in 1705 but its site is not known. This school building was constructed in 1866, and was known by several names in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, including Owersby Parochial School, North Owersby National School, and by the 1930s as Owersby CE School. In July 1937 senior pupils were transferred to Market Rasen Senior Council School. The school was closed on 18 July 1979, with the children transferred to Osgodby School. {5}
