Full Description

The former stable block at Crawford House was included in the assessment of significance, produced in August 2016, to inform proposed alterations to the house and garden structures. A brief summary of the building's history and development was included, detailing the various phases of alterations that are known about through historical research. The stables were likely built in the late 18th century, at the same time as a phase of major re-building of the adjacent house. The structure was extended in the mid 20th century, when it was converted to be used as a garage and storeroom. The building is single-storey, and is constructed of brick, with a variety of slate, perspex and corrugated sheet metal roofs. {1}
