Full Description

The former outbuildings on land adjacent to 8 Mill Lane were the subject of a photographic survey, conducted in July 2016, prior to their proposed demolition and redevelopment of the site. The stuctures are thought to date to the mid 19th century, and likely functioned as outbuildings for the nearby former windmill complex (see PRN 62287). They were constructed of yellow, hand-made bricks and featured pitched pantile roofs. The westernmost part of the structure was of two storeys, whilst the easternmost part was single-storey. This part of the building was quite ruinous at the time of the survey, however, with the roof having collapsed and only the southern and eastern walls still standing. {1}
