Full Description

Western range of outbuildings associated with Manor Farm dating to between 1827 and 1862, with a likely construction date of c.1830 based on their style and association with the Turnor Estate. The buildings are brick built, laid in an English Garden Wall bond, and feature pitched roofs of red clay pantiles. Historically the range was possibly L-shaped, and was larger than in 2024 with some of the buildings demolished after 1975. The range originally included at least a two storey former cart shed with granary on the second floor, a single storey former open-fronted shelter shed in the middle of the range, a single storey former stable, and a two storey coach house. By 1961 external changes to the coach house were visible including the blocking up of the first floor door and the installation of new ground floor windows, possibly to accomdate a pre-school nursery. Internal changes were noted during two schemes of building survey associated with the change of use. {1}{2}{3}{4}
