Full Description

Set of three adjoining Dutch barns, to the immediate south of the former flax factory at Metheringham Heath Lane. The barns were constructed during the Second World War, along with the majority of the factory complex. They were built of corrugated iron walls and roofs, attached to a steel frame. Maker's stamps showed that they were manufactured by Boulton & Paul Ltd of Norwich. The barns would have been used for storage, most likely for the newly harvested flax plants at the start of the factory process (see PRN 65854). The barns were demolished in 2015. {1}{2}
