Full Description

The remains of two former military structures were recorded in this location in October 2012, during groundworks for the renewal of the coastal flood defences between Tetney and Saltfleet. The remains comprised the base of a pre-fabricated building, formed of slabs of reinforced concrete, and an adjacent length of concrete zig-zag wall. The structures likely date towards the later years of the Second World War, or immediately after its conclusion, and are clearly associated with the defences of North Coates Airfield. {1}{2}
