Full Description

A group of three pits were recorded in this location in October 2012, during groundworks for the renewal of the coastal flood defences between Tetney and Saltfleet. The pits contained general refuse associated with the defence of North Coates airfield in the Second World War, including fragments of decayed RAF uniforms and used .303 rifle cartridges. {1}{2}
