Full Description

A structure built of reinforced concrete and thought to have been a probable Second World War pillbox was formerly sited in this location at Rimac House. The structure was visible on an aerial photograph taken of this area in 1953. {1}{2} No trace of the former structure could be discerned on an aerial photograph taken of this location in August 1971. The pillbox was likely demolished at the same time as the adjacent Rimac House was cleared, at some point in the late 1950s or early 1960s. {3}
