Full Description

A small assemblage of redeposited medieval and early post-medieval pottery was recovered in this location in August 2015, during archaeological monitoring of new development at the site of the former Howden Brothers Garage. The assemblage was comprised of 11 fragments from a variety of vessel forms, but all made of locally produced Toynton fabrics, ranging in date from the late 13th to 16th centuries. {1}{2}
