Full Description

The former saw mill at Pocklington's Mill was briefly described in a programme of historic building recording, conducted in February 2014 to inform proposed renovation and renewal works at the site. The building is single-storey, and is built of red brick with a pitched slate roof. It was likely constructed in 1890, when the adjacent mill was repaired with a larger sail, that was able to drive the machinery of the saw mill. The building was converted to be used as a brewery at some point after the adjacent mill's closure in 1941. {1}{2}
