Full Description
The small complex of farm buildings at Cold Hurn Lane, Quadring, were the subject of detailed building recording, conducted in September 2014, prior to their proposed conversion to housing. The complex comprises several adjoining ranges of mid to late 19th century farm structures, arranged around a central crewyard. All of the principal structures are brick-built, mostly laid in Flemish Garden Wall bond, and feature pantile roofs. The buildings are relatively unaltered, with the addition of a wooden pig shed in the mid 20th century representing the only major change. The complex combines a group of functional agricultural structures, comprising an implement store to the west range, a cart shed and cattle shelter to the north range, and a combination stable, tack room and hayloft to the western range. {1}{2}
