Full Description

A series of regularly spaced, parallel ditches were recorded in this location in September 2013, during trial trenching on land at Barrier Bank, Spalding. Although no dating material was recovered, the ditches were thought to be typical of a post-medieval dyling system. The majority of the ditches were aligned on a roughly north-west to south-east axis, although a small number at the north-eastern corner of the site were aligned on a slightly more north to south aligned axis, possibly indicating a division of the larger field system here. {1}{2}
