Full Description
The remains of two largely demolished Second World War communal air-raid shelters were exposed in June 2012, during archaeological monitoring of residential development at Cuthbert's Yard, Lincoln. The structures were built of steel-reinforced concrete and brick, and appeared to be more substantial than the smaller pre-fabricated steel Anderson-type shelters. {1}{2}
