Full Description
The remains of two largely demolished Second World War communal air raid shelters were exposed in June 2012, during archaeological monitoring of residential development at Cuthbert's Yard, Lincoln. The structures were built of steel-reinforced concrete and brick, and appeared to be more substantial than the smaller pre-fabricated steel Anderson-type shelters. {1}{2}
