Full Description

The complex of former garage structures at Cuthbert's Yard, Lincoln, were surveyed in December 2010, prior to their demolition and subsequent re-development of the site. This structure was a two-storey former agricultural building, constructed as part of a complex of farm buildings that occupied this site in the mid to late 19th century. The building was constructed of machine-made red clay bricks, laid in a combination of English Garden Wall bond and more irregular patterns, and featured a gabled, red clay pantile roof. Considerable alteration to the structure occurred throughout its life, to the extent that its exact original function could not be determined. The building was converted to be used as part of a vehicle repair garage in 1939, and was demolished in 2012. {1}{2}
