Full Description

The farmhouse at Spring Bank Farm was built in 1868, of coursed Tealby ironstone blocks, and features a gabled roof with deeply overhanging eaves and barge boards. A datestone is located in the gable above the main door, and is inscribed 'HRB 1868', giving the initials of the local landowner who paid for the construction of the farm, Henry Robert Boucherett of Willingham Hall. The farm constitutes a typical planned example of the 'High Farming' movement of the mid to late 19th century. {1}{2}
