Full Description

A Neolithic flint axehead was found in the area of Pear Tree Farm at Helpringham, and reported to the South Lincolnshire Archaeology Unit in May 1980. The axehead had originally been polished and had been re-cut. The axehead was loaned to be drawn by SLAU, and was returned to the finder on 8 August 1980 (although no drawing of the axehead has been found in the Heritage Lincolnshire files). {1}
