Full Description

Three fragments of possibly redeposited medieval tile were recovered in January 2013, during the archaeological monitoring of groundworks for an extension to 417 High Street, Lincoln. The tile was dated to the late 12th to 15th centuries and was recovered from a buried soil layer overlain by modern construction layers. Four fragments of cattle or other large mammal bone were also recovered from the same deposit. {1}{2}
