Full Description

A fragment of a Neolithic stone axe was found in 1979, during field walking at Ropsley and Humby. The axe is classified as a Group VI axe, and is made of epidiotized intermediate tuff, which occurs exclusively in the Great Langdale and Scafell Pike areas of the Lake District. {1}{2}
