Full Description

A windmill is marked on the OS surveyor's drawing of 1814 at this site in Osbournby parish. {1} On the OS first edition map of about 1888 there is a windmill here, off The Drove, marked as Spanby Windmill (Corn) and within a circular enclosure. {2} The windmill is no longer present on the 1905 OS second edition map. {3}
