Full Description
A redeposited fragment of Roman tile was found in July 2013, during the archaeological monitoring of groundworks for the construction of new services and extensions to Church Cottage, Biscathorpe. The fragment was a piece of roof tile or tegula, and was recovered from a layer of buried soil, imported onto the site during the mid 19th century landscaping associated with the nearby creation of Biscathorpe Park. {1}{2}
