Description

An archaeological excavation was carried out by Lindsey Archaeological Services in November 2008, in advance of works to install a new water main linking Bourne Water Treatment Works with the Guthram Water Booster Works. The excavation took place in a field located to the southeast of Dyke village, bounded by Dyke Drove to the north and meadow Drove to the west. The excavated area followed the eastern and southern field boundaries, extending in 10m wide strips over distances of 170m east to west and 175m north to south. {1}{2}
