An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Lindsey Archaeological Services, in November 2008, during works relating to the installation of a replacement rising main, running between Fishtoft and an existing sewage treatment works to the west of Hobhole Drain. Nine pits were excavated, to facilitate directional drilling along the approximately 750m route of the rising main. Monitoring of the pit excavations revealed no evidence of archaeological activity. {1} {2}
