A watching brief was undertaken at Southfield Business Park on the excavation of drainage runs and overburden stripping prior to redevelopment of the site for residential use. Undated fired clay, animal bone and burnt stone were found along with unstratified Roman, medieval and later pottery, a Neolithic flint core and a lava quern fragment. {1}{2}
