Description

Two trial trenches were excavated in advance of proposed development. Extensive deposits of later post medieval alluvial material were encountered, suggesting that the area was subject to flooding until at least the 18th century. The only features encountered were an undated dog burial, a post medieval linear feature and undated and recent tree throws. A small amount of late post medieval pottery and other materials were the only finds recovered. {1}{2}
