Description
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks associated with the excavation of a pile cap for a transformer. The aim of the watching brief was to identify and investigate a layer of peat encountered during geotechnical drilling. The peat was seen in part of the trench but it had been disturbed and truncated by previous activity. No deposits, features or finds of archaeological significance were encountered. {1}{2}
